Less is More

In this life of so much choice it’s just so overwhelming that it’s much easier to do nothing. What has been happening though, is a major transition from the wealthy acquiring lots of “stuff” to the realisation that you really don’t need much to be happy, wealthy, and fulfilled in life.

Four ways to declutter your life and live with purpose and passion

  1. Have a clothes rack sale. Sell your name brands to friends and donate the proceeds to charity. This was a wonderful initiative from a good friend at Fionacraig.com who, through her cancer treatment, learned that less is more and what was really important to her.
  2. Keep furnishings simple and minimalist. Functional and practical are always good too.
  3. Try to buy the same food each week, fresh organic delivery with minimal additions, and stick to a meal plan that you know your family loves. If the kids want something different, they are welcome to cook!! Or pay for dinner!
  4. When it comes to your finances then choose three investment strategies to achieve your passive income goals in retirement that work for you and just stay on track with those. Property portfolio, share portfolio, and a SMSF, for example, or a business, property portfolio, and salary sacrificing. Having too many strategies going on will cause confusion and overwhelm. Just focus on a few manageable ones that don’t require you to learn too much without some help.

Keeping it simple, lean, and clean is always more likely to guarantee results than a badly cluttered, dirty, and unsustainable lifestyle.
